BoatGirl’sIndianSummer

The adventures of me and my boat.

Sea Queens

Sunday, I went along as crew on the Sirena, after convincing Cap’n Chris that we didn’t need any other knowledgable crew.  We had three passengers (there was some grumbling among them about racism etc, but we won’t go into that) who were fabulous as galley crew, but lacking in the sailing-skills department, so it was up to me and Skip to sail the boat.

It was one of the most beautiful days on the bay I’ve ever seen – warm, sunny, golden, not too windy.  Chris was really happy to find out that the two of us are capable of sailing the Sirena without extra help. Before, he thought it took at least 3 people, but now he knows. We also used this sail to let me get familiar with all the extra lines, bells and whistles that the Sirena has that the Indian Summer doesn’t.
We had a slight problem with a mutiny among our cargo, so Chris decided to jump overboard and let them try to sail the boat ashore by themselves.  Luckily, they came to their senses and offered us more white wine and KFC to pacify us.
